Books, not appeals.
Fund A Book funds print runs of Islamic books and gives every copy away free in the UK. A campaign names one book, one print run and one price per copy. When the run is funded it goes to print, and the copies are handed out at no charge.
How it works
- A book is chosen. One title, a print run, and a cost per copy that does not change once the campaign opens.
- The run is funded. The campaign page shows what has been raised against the target, live. Amounts are net of the card processing fee, so the figure on screen is the figure that prints books.
- It goes to print. The full run is printed once the target is met.
- Every copy is given away. Distributed free through masjids and bookstores. Nothing here is sold, and this is not a pre-order.
Where the money goes
Fund A Book takes no cut. After the card processing fee, every penny prints books.
Donations are received by a registered charity, not by this site. Each campaign names the charity collecting it and routes the payment to that charity’s own account. The current campaign is collected by Masjid As-Sunnah (Al-Baseerah), registered under Foundations for People, charity number 1140216. You can check that number on the Charity Commission register.
Gift Aid, if you claim it, is claimed by that charity in its registered name — which is why the declaration on the donation form names the charity rather than Fund A Book.
What has been funded
20,000 copies funded across 2 campaigns, from £9,048 raised. 10,000 of those have been printed and handed out; the rest are funded and still in production. Funded is not the same as delivered, so both are shown.
Where the books go
Copies are given out free at:
- Salafi Bookstore, Birmingham
- Salafi Bookstore, Manchester
- Salafi Bookstore, Bradford
- Masjid As-Sunnah, Bradford
Why there are no photographs here
There are no images of people or animals anywhere on this site, and no music in anything we publish. What you see instead is type, light, geometry and the covers themselves.
